Hallo allemaal,
Vandaag heb ik een nieuw Quietfire projectje voor jullie.
Het is een kerstkaart geworden, want...het is weer kerst voor we het weten en dus hoog tijd om te beginnen aan de kerstkaarten!
De tekst en layout zijn aan elkaar aangepast: een sneeuwvlok stempel en dus ok een sneeuwvlok embossingmal, glitter en sneeuwster stansjes...

Today I have a a new Quietfire project.
It's a Christmas card because....it'll be Christmas before you know and thus time to get started on those Christmas cards!
I made the card layout match the used Quietfire text stamp: a snowflake embossingfolder, glitter and die-cut snowflakes.

Woohoo.... Quietfire Design Team!

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Mijn DT bij Spellbinders zit er op....het waren twee fantastische, maar ook hectische jaren.
Ik ben zowel tevreden als ook best een beetje sip omdat het afgelopen is....
Tijd om nieuwe uitdagingen te zoeken en in het kader daarvan heb ik een hele leuke mededeling: ik ben DT lid geworden bij Quietfire stamps.
Misschien kennen jullie dat merk (hier in Nederland) (nog) niet, maar ik ben er weg van....prachtige prachtige gekalligrafeerde stempels met prachtige teksten.
Vorige maand was ik gevraagd als gastdesigner te zijn en vandaag heb ik mijn allereerste blogpost als DT lid gepubliceerd.....best een beetje trots!

After two wonderful but also hectic years my DT at Spellbinders is now over.
Feeling at peace as well as sad at the same time that it's over....
Anyway, it's time for new challenges and I am very happy and proud to tell that I have accepted DT membership at Quietfire stamps.
Quietfire has the most beautiful calligraphic (text) stamps.
Last month I was asked to be guest designer and today I have published my very first DT card....feeling very happy!

#68 Challenge DML

Door persoonlijke omstandigheden ben ik een beetje laat met het plaatsen van mijn DT bijdrage aan de 68ste DML Challenge.
Maar daar ben ik dan ;-)
De opdracht is bedacht door Ula en luidt deze keer:
"Lichtjes, lampjes ...maak het gezellig in de donkere dagen..."

Due to personal circumstances I haven't been able to place bij DT entry to the 68th DML Challenge any earlier.
But....here I am...finally ;-)
The challenge (idea Ula) is:
"Little lights and lamps...to make it cozy during the dark winter days..."

Dit is mijn DT bijdrage.
Ik wilde het weer eens een keertje geheel anders aanpakken met als resultaat een frame met een (uiteraard op batterij) waxine lichtje erin.
Zoals jullie zien heb ik de doos met kerstspulletjes uit de kast gehaald en die eens flink geplunderd ha ha.
Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk vinden en kijk uit naar jullie reacties.

This is my DT entry.
I wnted to create something totally different and this is what I came up with...a frame with a (of course battery-)light in it.
As you can see I raided my Christmas decorations box to make this little project.

Dit is mijn DT bijdrage.
Mijn favoriete kleuren zijn denk ik zo langzamerhand wel een beetje bekend: blauw + bruin/kraft + wit en dan flink met bruine inkt en een blender tool/ sponsje bewerken.
Het is weer een kerst kaart geworden....het is immers december voor je het weet!
Ik hoop dat jullie de kaart leuk vinden en kijk weer uit naar jullie reacties!

This is my DT-entry.
I Think you all know my favourite colors by now: blue + brown/kraft + white and then using brown ink and a blending tool/sponge to alter...
Since it'll be Christmas before you know (how time flies!) I made a Christmas card.

Christmas......

 Hallo lieve allemaal,

Het is kerst voor je het weet (hoewel je er met het zonnetje van vandaag liever nog even niet aan denkt)...en dus misschien wel tijd om aan de kerstkaarten te beginnen....
Dus voor vandaag heb ik voor jullie een kerstkaart gemaakt.

Hello everyone,
It'll be Christmas before you know, so it's time to get crafty and start making Christmas cards!
That's why today an example for some inspiration.

De stempel is van Stampendous.
Eerst heb ik met Goose bumps (en een wattenstaafje) de daken van de stempel en een de bomen een beetje ingesmeerd, zodat daarna de inkt er niet meer in kan trekken.
De stempel heb ik gemaskerd en zo heb ik de buitenkant van de ovaal bewerkt met bruine Distress inkt en de binnenkant met blauwe Distress inkt.
Verder een klein beetje groene inkt voor het hulstblaadje + een paar plakparels.
Het frame is gestanst met Spellbinders® S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B.


I used a small brush to put Goose Bumps (Imagine Crafts™) on the roofs  and trees of the Stampendous stamp...this way the paper won't absorb nno ink anymore.The stamp is masked and this way the outside and inside of the oval are colord with brown, blue and green ink.
The frame is die-cut with Spellbinders® S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B.

De bloemen zijn gemaakt met Spellbinders S5-055 Layered Poinsettia.
Ik heb ze gestanst uit wit papier en na het embossen niet direct uit de mal gehaald, maar er eerst een blokje blauwe inkt langs gehaald
In het hartje van de bloemen vervolgens een gaatje geprikt en een paar bloemetjes gestapeld en vastgezet met een spacer en een splitpennetje.
Daarna heb ik een likje Inka Gold (kleur zilver) langs de randen van de bloemen geveegd (gewoon met mijn vingers) zodat je een mooi zilver effect aan de randjes krijgt.
Tenslotte nog een beetje glitterlijm op de nerven en voila....kerstkaart klaar!
De achtergrond is een stans van Spellbinders: S6-005 Elegant Labels Four.

The poinsettia flowers are die-cut with Spellbinders S5-055 Layered Poinsettia.
The flowers are die-cut from white cardstock and stencilled with blue ink.
Make a small hole in the centre of the flowers, stack them and put a spacer on and a brad through.
Then add a touch of Inka Gold (color Silver along the edges of the petals  and finally some glitter glue upon the etals
The background is made with Spellbinders S6-005 Elegant Labels Four.

Spellbinders card... D-lites!

 

Hallo allemaal,
Vandaag heb ik voor jullie een kaart die terug is te vinden in de Art Gallery van Spellbinders.
De wolken zijn gemaakt met een stans die eigenlijk een "tekst-wolkje"was...gewoon het puntje er onderaan afgeknipt en voila....een wolk!
Leuk dat je sommige stansen zo multifunctioneel kunt gebruiken!
Voor een extra 3D-effect gebruik je foamblokjes achter de wolken.
De bloemenborder is een D-lites stans die ik een paar keer heb uitgestanst.
Voordat je het stansje uit de mal haalt even voorzichtig bewerken met roze en groene inkt en klaar is je bloemenrand!

Hello everyone,
Today's card is a card that is published in the Spellbinders Art Gallery.
The clouds are made using a speech bubble die. I simly cut of it's tail and....tatata...a cloud.
I love the fact that dies can be so Multi-functional!
For an extra 3-dimensional effect use foam square for adhering the clouds.
The flower border is made using a Spellbinders D-lites template which I die-cut several times.
Before taking the die-cut out of the template, carefully stencil it using pink and green ink.
A simple and easy way to make a flower border!

Hier een hele blije Yvonne....
Ik ben ontzettend trots...vannacht om 0.00 uur heb ik een telefoontje uit de VS gehad van Stacey Caron zelf.....Ik ben gevraagd voor het 2013 Spellbinders Design Team!
Wow.....dat wordt mijn 2e jaar in het team en ik heb er reuze veel zin in!
Het afgelopen DT jaar was heel pittig, maar ook een geweldige ervaring, ik had het voor geen goud willen missen!
Zoveel geleerd, zoveel leuke publicaties wereldwijd en de kans om samen te werken met enorme talenten!
Wat een kans om het nog een jaar te mogen doen!
Ik voel me enorm vereerd en super bedankt aan Stacey Caron, Cathy Chlebana, Kim Hupke en alle anderen bij Spellbinders!
Ik ga er een super jaar van maken!

A very happy Yvonne over here....
I am so incredibly proud to announce that last night (at 0.00hrs Dutch time) Stacey Caron phoned me all the way from the USA to tell me I have been chosen for the 2013 Spellbinders Design Team!
Wow.....this will be my 2nd year on the team and I can't wait to start!
The current DT year has been very intense and a lot of work, but also an incredible experience I would not have liked to miss out on for the world!
I have learned so much., got numerous publications, special projects and had the chance to work with these huge craft talents....it was amazing!
And now the chance to do this for a 2nd year!
I feel so blessed and a huge thanks to Stacey Caron, Cathy Chlebana, Kim Hupke and the rest of the Spellbinders family for all! I love ya!
This is going to be a great year!

#60 Challenge DML

Time for the new DML Challenge.
The challenge is this time: Use circles.
This is my DT entry.

Het lag voor de hand om een cirkelvormige kaart te maken, maar dat heb ik ooit eens geprobeerd en vond het niet echt mijn ding.
Dus heb ik gekozen om veel cirkelvormige dingen op de kaart aan te brengen.
De tekst vond ik wel leuk bijpassend....

The easiest way would have been making a circle-shaped card, but I tried that once and...well...not really my style....
So I chose to use lots of circle-shapes on my card.
I thought the tekst fits the card well.

- Magnolia: Tilda stempel/stamp
- Spellbinders: E3D-002 Creative cogs
- Spellbinders S5-04 Sprightly Sprockets
- Kraft paper, knopen/buttons, bloemen/flowers

Labels...

Hallo allemaal,
Allereerst wil ik jullie graag hartelijk bedanken voor alle leuke reacties die ik heb mogen ontvangen op de Open Dag van afgelopen zaterdag....het was weer een feestje!
Ik heb in elk geval weer een heerlijke dag gehad.
Geen idee hoeveel labeltjes ik heb gemaakt en weggegeven, maar het waren er tientallen!
Tijdens de Open Dag heb ik labels gedemonstreerd en heb ik beloofd er een paar op de blog te zetten...dus tatata...bij deze....

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all the lovely comments I received during my demo at Ge-We last Saturday....you really made my day!
I really have no idea how many labels I made and gave away, but it must have been dozens!
I promised to place some of the things I made on my blog...so here it is....

De labels zijn echt heel eenvoudig te maken.
De basis voor elke label zijn Spellbinders mallen.
Voor de demo heb ik gebruikt:
These labels are really very simple to make.
The basis for the labels are Spellbinders templates.
For the demo I used the following sets:
 - Spellbinders S4-144 Rectangles en
- Spellbinders S5-014 Small decked mega rectangles
- Spellbinders S5-086 Bitty Blossoms

De gebruikte stempels waren (behalve de tekststempels) allemaal van Kaisercraft.
En wat gingen die stempels hard zeg!
Ik denk dat ze wel weer bijbesteld zullen gaan worden....
Het zijn allemaal clearstamps, voor een leuke prijs en van goede stempel-kwaliteit.
Echt 1 van mijn eigen favoriete merken.

The stamps I used were all (except for the tekst stamps) from Kaisercraft.
All clearstamps, nice price and excellent quality in my opinion....really one of my abs. favorite brands!

Voor het kleuren van de labels heb ik distress inkt pads en een blending tool gebruikt.
Laat tijdens het kleuren de het (uitgestanste) papiergewoon in de mal zitten...zo krijg hje dat mooie witte randje..
Tijdens de Open Dag heb ik de volgende kleuren gebruikt:
Just leave the die-cut in the template during coloring...this way you get that nice and clean white border.
For coloring the labels I used distress inkpads and a blending tool:
- Forest Moss
- Peeled Paint
- Broken China
- Mustard Seed
- Brushed Corderoy

Over een paar dagen zal k nog een paar van de gemaakte labels aan jullie laten zien....anders wordt deze blogpost wel heel erg lang ;-)
I will place some more examples soon...otherwise this will be a way too long blogpost ;-)

#58 challenge DML

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Snipverkouden sinds gisteren....ik ben zo toe aan lente...uhhh zomer!
Voor vandaag heb ik de nieuwe challenge van Dutch Magnolia Lovers voor jullie.
Chantal heeft hem deze keer bedacht:"Alles behalve vierkant + gebruik kant".
Weer een leuke opdracht dus.

Sitting here with a running nose....I caught a cold....how I long for spring...uhhh summer!
The Dutch climat seems to have skipped spring and summer (still wearing my winter coat)...
Today I bring you the latest DML Challenge.
The assignment (idea of Chantal) is: "Everything but a square card + use lace".
Again a great assignement.
This is my DT-entry.

Ik heb mezelf een extra challenge gegeven, namelijk geen Edwin of Tilda stempel gebruiken.
I gave myself an extra challenge: not using an Edwin or Tilda stamp.

Hallo allemaal,
De 57ste Challenge van DML loopt alweer een week....dus nog maar een paar dagen dat je mee kunt doen.
De opdracht is deze keer is bedacht door DT-leden hilde en Petra: maak een kaartje geinspireerd door een liedje.

De tag isgeinspirerd door het liedje "Can I get there by Candlelight" van David McWilliams.

If you want to enter the 57th Challenge of DML you have only a few days left.
The Challenge is an idea of DT-members Hilde and Petra: make a creation inspired by a song.
This is my midway-reminder-DT-entry:

- Spellbinders® S5-083 Antique Frame and Accents
- Spellbinders® S4-114 Standard Circles Lg (voor bloemen/flowers)
- Derwent Coloursoft pencils
- Tickets Maya Road
- KaiserCraft Tiny Alpha Stickers

De uitgestanste cirkel heb ik spiraal-gewijs geknipt en opgerold tot een bloem.
The die-cut circle I cut spiral wise (using scissors) and rolled it up to make the flower.

Ik ben benieuwd naar wat jullie van de tag vinden!
