Daar ben ik weer...back again....

 

Hallo allemaal,

Ik ben een poos offline geweest door familieomstandigheden met nog steeds veel zorgen. Sinds begin februari heb ik bijna niets kunnen doen. Maar ga proberen om de draad weer op te pakken!

Allereerst met een kaart die ik voor Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L heb gemaakt.  De beschrijving van de kaart vind je hier.

I have been offline for a while due to family circumstances with a lot of worries still going on.  So that is why I haven't been creative sinds beginning February. But, I am trying to pick up where I left! Starting with a card I made for the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog. The instructions on how to make the card are to be found here.

Stampendous & Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog hop

A warm welcome to Day 2 of the Holiday Blog Hop!

For the bloghop I made this Elf card.

Creating the Elf-card:

Stamp Seated Elf Cling Stamps and Dies Set images on smooth white cardstock using  a soft grey inkpad.

Color the images with color pencils.

Then die-cut the images.

Adhere Adhesive Dots Mini and Adhesive Dots Medium  to the stamped gift-images.

Remove the liner and rub some Jewel Glitter onto the Adhesive Dots.

Remove the excess glitter by tapping on the back of the image.

Make a white card base and adhere upon a green and white card panel using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser.

Stamp the sentiment on the white panel using a black inkpad.

Adhere the colored images using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix and 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

Use the thin, regular and stacked 3D Foam Squares to create a 3D layered scenery.

To create the glittered snowflakes, adhere Adhesive Dots Mini and Adhesive Dots Micro to the white card panel.

Remove the liner and rub some Crystal Glitter onto.

Christmas......

 Hallo lieve allemaal,

Het is kerst voor je het weet (hoewel je er met het zonnetje van vandaag liever nog even niet aan denkt)...en dus misschien wel tijd om aan de kerstkaarten te beginnen....
Dus voor vandaag heb ik voor jullie een kerstkaart gemaakt.

It'll be Christmas before you know, so it's time to get crafty and start making Christmas cards!
That's why today an example for some inspiration.

De stempel is van Stampendous.
Eerst heb ik met Goose bumps (en een wattenstaafje) de daken van de stempel en een de bomen een beetje ingesmeerd, zodat daarna de inkt er niet meer in kan trekken.
De stempel heb ik gemaskerd en zo heb ik de buitenkant van de ovaal bewerkt met bruine Distress inkt en de binnenkant met blauwe Distress inkt.
Verder een klein beetje groene inkt voor het hulstblaadje + een paar plakparels.
Het frame is gestanst met Spellbinders® S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B.


I used a small brush to put Goose Bumps (Imagine Crafts™) on the roofs  and trees of the Stampendous stamp...this way the paper won't absorb nno ink anymore.The stamp is masked and this way the outside and inside of the oval are colord with brown, blue and green ink.
The frame is die-cut with Spellbinders® S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B.

De bloemen zijn gemaakt met Spellbinders S5-055 Layered Poinsettia.
Ik heb ze gestanst uit wit papier en na het embossen niet direct uit de mal gehaald, maar er eerst een blokje blauwe inkt langs gehaald
In het hartje van de bloemen vervolgens een gaatje geprikt en een paar bloemetjes gestapeld en vastgezet met een spacer en een splitpennetje.
Daarna heb ik een likje Inka Gold (kleur zilver) langs de randen van de bloemen geveegd (gewoon met mijn vingers) zodat je een mooi zilver effect aan de randjes krijgt.
Tenslotte nog een beetje glitterlijm op de nerven en voila....kerstkaart klaar!
De achtergrond is een stans van Spellbinders: S6-005 Elegant Labels Four.

The poinsettia flowers are die-cut with Spellbinders S5-055 Layered Poinsettia.
The flowers are die-cut from white cardstock and stencilled with blue ink.
Make a small hole in the centre of the flowers, stack them and put a spacer on and a brad through.
Then add a touch of Inka Gold (color Silver along the edges of the petals  and finally some glitter glue upon the etals
The background is made with Spellbinders S6-005 Elegant Labels Four.

Ge-We Challenge nr. 10 + rub-ons Tip

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Deze week is de 10e Ge-We Challenge van start gegaan.
De opdracht luidt:
Maak een winterkaart.
Je kunt er weer een leuk prijzen pakket mee winnen.

Dit is mijn bijdrage aan de challenge.
En ja hoor....mezelf weer eens een uitdaging gesteld, namelijk:geen met penseel ingekleurde afdrukjes gebruiken,
Toen ik deze Stampendous stempel zag vond ik hem zo leuk dat ik hem voor mijn kerstkaarten wilde gaan gebruiken....ja die voor 2012!
Maar ja...door alle drukte ben ik dus (zoals jullie waarschijnlijk heb hebben gelezen hier op de blog) daar dus helemaal niet aan toegekomen.
Daarom nu als winterkaart.
Het afdrukje is ingekleurd met de techniek van maskeren en de blending tool.

Hello everyone, the 10th Ge-We Challenge started this week.
The Challenge is: Make a winter-card.

This is what I made for the Challenge.
And yes...again an extra Challenge for me: not using a cute-stamp and no handcoloring (with brush) of the image.
So, I colored the image using a blending tool and the technique of masking.
When I saw this stamp (Stampendous) I immediately liked it and decided to use it for my Chirstmascards...yes those for 2012!
But as you probably will have read here on my blog, due to a lot of DT work I haven't had the time to make any card.
So...that's why I'm now using the stamp for a winter-time card.

- Inkssentials blending tool + Distress ink pads
- Spellbinders S5-090 Romantic Rectangles
- Spellbinders S4-328 Foliage
- flowers

Tip:
Heb ik meteen ook nog een leuke tip voor jullie...
Ik wilde de tekst "Wintertime" op mijn kaart, maar daar heb ik geen stempel van en mijn handschrift is nou niet echt geschikt vond ik.
Gelukkig had ik nog restjes oude rub-ons liggen....(van die afwrijfvelletjes et plaatjes en teksten).
Daar zitten  dus altijd dingetjes en teksten bij die je eigenlijk  nooit gebruikt.
Als je de individuele lettertjes losknipt kun je daar dus prima woorden mee maken.
Zelf vind ik het daarbij leuk om allerlei verschillende lettertypes door elkaar te  gebruiken.
Gebruik een oud achterkantje van rub ons om met je letters te spelen want als je ze op gewoon papier legt, loop je het risico dat je letters (permanent) aan je papier vastplakken.
Ik hoop dat jullie iets met deze tip kunnen.
Als altijd kijk ik weer uit naar jullie reacties.

Tip:
I wanted the text "Wintertime" o my card but did not have a stamp or rub-on for that.
I always save bits and parts of old rub-ons I  have...those texts you never seem to have the right occasion for.
Well, I cut of individual typos to form the Wintertime text using different typos (I love that effect).
Be sure to use an old back of rub-ons when playing, because rub-ons easily (permanently) stick to normal paper.
Well, I hope you like this idea!

Bedankkaartjes...Thank you notes...

Voor alle sponsoren van het 2012 Spellbinders DT-team heb ik een bedankkaartje gemaakt.
Dat was een hele klus en daarom heb ik de kaart eenvoudig gehouden. Dit is het resultaat.

Hello everyone,
I made a thank-you-card for all of the generous sponsors of the 2012 Spellbinders Design Team. Quite a job I must admit for i made nearly 40 cards. This is what I made.


Used materials:
- Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™  Enchanted (ES-005)
- Spellbinders™ Nestabilities®  Standard Circles Lg (S4-114)
- Stampendous clearstamp set Sunny Flowers
- Versmark Watermark Stamp pad
- Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam Squares
- embossingpoeder gold + heatgun

De kaart is eigenlijk heel eenvoudig om te maken.
Stempel de bloem met Versamark op wit karton, strooi er embossingpoeder overheen. Doordat Versamark kleeft, blijft de embossingpoeder er mooi op kleven. Schut het overtollige poeder eraf en verhit het afdrukje met een heatgun.
Daarna de bloem uitknippen en op de geemboste achtergrond plakken.
Het tekstcirkeltje is met fomablokjes opgeplakt waardoor de tekst net ietsje extra naar voren komt.

Voor de achtergrond heb ik gewoon pagina''s uit een oud boek gebruikt en die op maat heb gesneden en "oud" gemaakt met de blendingtool.
En voila...klaar is je kaart!

The card is really very easy to make.
Stamp the flower on some cardstock. with Versamark. Since this "ink" is sticky, the embossingpowder will stick to your stamped image immediately. Use your heatgun and after cooling of, cut out the flower.
Glue the flower to the embossed background and use some foampads for a extra 3D-effect.


For the background I used pages from an old book with I altered with brown ink.
And voila....card ready!
