SBA by3L Christmas inspiration featuring Graphic 45 : Christmas Keepsakes Box...

Hi everyone,
Welcome to Day 5 of the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®️ Christmas Inspiration Week using gorgeous Graphic 45 products.

This is what I made For the Christmas Inspiration Week

I created a box keepsakes box for those special small Christmas memories such a tiny gifts, cards, labels, photos and embellishments.... wouldn’t it be great to create a box each year to cherish each Christmas?

How to re-create the box:

1. Ink all the edges of the Regular Book Box - Ivory with grey ink.
2. Paint the inside of the box as well as the sides of the box with grey structure paint.
3. Adhere Twelve Days  of Christmas - Deluxe Collectors Edition patterned paper to all the the  sides of the box. To pop up a little the image on top of the box I used Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mixfor the top layer patterned paper. Use a paper distresser to alter the edges of the paper (and ink the edges with brown ink)

Embellishing the box:

1. Adhere twine using Adhesive Dots Micro and adhere the lace using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser. 
2. Then embellish the wooden spools: adhere the lace and twine to the spool using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Dispenser as well as Adhesive Dots Micro (to adhere the ends). 
3. Cut a circle from patterned paper and cut a spiral (using scissors) and roll up to make a flower. Adhere the roll to the base of the flower using Adhesive Dots Large. 
4. Glue the spools, flowers buttons and other embellishments to the box using Adhesive Dots or the Home&Hobby™ Adhesives Dual Tip Glue pen.

Tag...Feathers....

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Vandaag weer eens een tag oftewel label.
Het leuke van labels maken is dat je er zo leuk al je restjes papier en frutsels op kwijt kunt.
Ik heb er namelijk altijd veel moeite mee om dat allemaal zomaar weg te gooien....resultaat: doos vol stukjes design papier en bloemetjes waar ik er nog maar eentje of zo van heb....klinkt dat bekend?
De veren zijn uit goudkleurig karton gestanst en daarna op de pen van de veer een beetje gebogen om het er wat realistischer uit te laten zien.

Today I would like to share a tag with you all.
The fun thing about making tags is that it's a perfect to clean your desk from all those little bits and pieces. I don't know about you, but I Always have a hard time throwing away those small pieces...resulting in a box full of left overpeices, single flowers and embellishments....sounds familiar?
The feathers were die-cut from gold shiny cardstock and the slightly bent lenghtwise to give it a more realistic look.

#52 DML Challenge - Midway reminder

Halli hallo allemaal,
Afgelopen week is de 52ste Dutch Magnolia Lovers Challenge van start gegaan.
De opdracht is: Maak een creatie in Monochromatic kleuren (evt. met een vleugje groen) + verwerk vleugels.
Inmiddels zijn er al een aantal hele mooie inzendingen, maar er is plaats voor nog veeeel meer!
Deze keer had ik de eer een Midway reminder te maken en dit is hem geworden...
Ik heb gekozen voor de kleur bruin.

Last week the 52nd Challenge of Dutch Magnolia Lovers started.
The assignment is: Make a creation in monochromtic colors (+ a little green is allowed) and use wings.
We already received some beuatiful creations, but of course there's Always room for many more!
For this challenge I have the honor of making a midway reminder and this is what I made...
I chose the color brown.

De basis voor de kaart is een oude passe-partout met een ovaal erin dat ik nog had liggen.
Eerst heb ik op de voorkant een passend stuk wit kopieerpapier geplakt, de ovaal in het midden uitgesneden en daaroverheen een iets kleiner stuk bedrukt kraft karton.
Het kraft karton een beetje vochtig gemaakt en de rand in stukjes omgekruld.
Achter het gat heb ik eerst een vel vellum geplakt en daarna bedukt kraft papier.

The base of my creation is an old passe-partout with an oval hole in it.
First I glued white paper upon and carefully cut out the oval.
Then adhered printed kraft paper. I moistened the kraft paper in the middle and carefully curled the edges.
Behind the oval hole I first glued vellum (parchment paper) and then printed kraft paper.

Zonder stanzen.....

Hallo allemaal,
Omdat niet iedereen een stans-apparaat heeft, heb ik vandag eens een keer een kaartje gemaakt zonder stanzen te gebruiken.
Ik heb alleen gebruik gemaakt van een schaar, lineaal en een snijmesje.

De ritssluiting is geen echte, maar eentje van papier.
Het is een die-cut (of tewel een voorgestanst plaatje) uit het Tilda scrapblok Sewingbird.
Ook de label, klosjes, schaar en knopen zijn voorgestanste plaatjes uit datzelfde blok. Het bovenste desgnpapier komt ook uit dat blok.
Het onderste (gestreepte) komt uit een Graphic 45 blokje.
De tekststempel is van Marianne Design.
De Tilda stempel is uit de allernieuwste Magnolia serie.
De swirl is van Want2Scrap (eindelijk eens betaalbare strass-swirls).

Ik hoop dat jullie het een leuke kaart vinden en ik kijk (als altijd) weer uit naar jullie reacties!
Mijn volgende projectje wordt weer MET stanzen hoor....

Spellbinders kaart....Forever Friends

Hallo allemaal,
Eindelijk kan ik iets van mijn werk voor Spellbinders met jullie delen.
Er zijn namelijk een aantal van mijn projecten in de idee-galerij op de website van Spellbinders gezet.
Het is heel ander werk als jullie van mij gewend zijn denk ik...
Voor mij is het elke keer ook een hele uitdaging om uit mijn "comfort zone" te stappen en iets heel anders te proberen.
Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de lancering van nieuwe mallen voor de CHA zomer 2012.

I'm so happy I can share with you a card I made for Spellbinders. Some of my work is now on display in the Idea Gallery of Spellbinders.
I know it's different from what I usually make but that's the challenge I like! Spellbinders makes me stepping out of my "comfort-zone"and try new things all the time.
This is a card I made for the launch of the new dies that came out during the summer 2012 CHA.

De achtergrondmal is een soort raamwerk en om het eens anders aan te pakken heb ik er lint door heen geregen.

The background is a lattice die which I used to put ribbon through, which gives it al totally differnet look.

Voor de kaart heb ik de volgende Spellbinders mallen gebruikt:
- Labels Twenty-Five (S5-077)
- Labels Twenty-Eight (S5-127)
- Fancy Tags Two (S5-128)
- Basic Lattice (S5-151)
De tekst is een stempel van JustRite.
Het gebruikte scrappapier is van Graphic45 (Kraft Refelctions)

Ik ben benieuwd naar wat jullie ervan vinden!
