Tag...Feathers....

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Vandaag weer eens een tag oftewel label.
Het leuke van labels maken is dat je er zo leuk al je restjes papier en frutsels op kwijt kunt.
Ik heb er namelijk altijd veel moeite mee om dat allemaal zomaar weg te gooien....resultaat: doos vol stukjes design papier en bloemetjes waar ik er nog maar eentje of zo van heb....klinkt dat bekend?
De veren zijn uit goudkleurig karton gestanst en daarna op de pen van de veer een beetje gebogen om het er wat realistischer uit te laten zien.

Today I would like to share a tag with you all.
The fun thing about making tags is that it's a perfect to clean your desk from all those little bits and pieces. I don't know about you, but I Always have a hard time throwing away those small pieces...resulting in a box full of left overpeices, single flowers and embellishments....sounds familiar?
The feathers were die-cut from gold shiny cardstock and the slightly bent lenghtwise to give it a more realistic look.

Vandaag weer eens een lief dieren kaartje.
Voor deze kaart heb 1 van mijn meest favoriete stempelmerken of liever gezegd een stempel van mijn favoriete tekenares Margaret Sherry (stempel Penny Black) gebruikt.
Ik kan er niets aandoen, maar ik heb zo'n zwak voor leuke diertjes!

International Ambassadors Informal Bloghop: Christmas in August

Hello everyone,
Welcome to the 8th International Ambassadors Informal blog hop hemed "Christmas in August".
Yep...only a couple of months before it'll be Christmas again...how time flies!
And with the newest Spellbinders Christmas die-templates now being available in stores, we thought it would be a great subject for our monthly blog hop.
We International Ambassadors hope to inspire you with our projects, each of us in their own style.

I chose to make a Christmas card in traditional colors.
For the Holly farme I stacked Holly Frame and Matting Basics B #4 (with #1 being the smallest die-template). Cut/emboss from kraft cardstock and then use some metallic paint to give the frame an antique gold color.
Cut Matting Basics B #5 from patterned or stamped (music) paper and glue the die-cut behind the Holly frame using 3D foam squares.
Cut/emboss Tree With Bows from green cardstock and glue to the frame using 3D foam squares
Cut/emboss Bird Banner from white cardstock and alter the edges using brown in and a dauber.
Glue to the frame using 3D foam squares.
Mat the frame onto burgundy and then kraft cardstock and finally glue to a white cardbase.
embellish the banner with a Christmas text and glue red rhinestones to the tree.

LOTV: Canine Choir

Hallo lieve allemaal,
Vandaag een kaartje met 1 van de allernieuwste LOTV stempels: Canine Choir
Naast een serie kerststempels is er ook een Fairy kalender uit (klik hier).
Ook heb ik een nieuwe Spellbinders stans gebruikt: Holly Frame, welke heel binnenkort ook in Nederland verkrijgbaar zal zijn.
Het afdrukje is ingekleurd met distress inkt refills.

I also used one of the newest Spellbinders die templates: Holly Frame, which will be available in The Netherlands very soon.
The image was coloured using Distress ink refills.

To say I'm always there for you....

Vandaag een LOTV kaart...jullie kennen mijn voorliefde voor leuke diertjes en dus...tja....
Helaas zag ik net op de website dat de stempel retired is....maar ik wil hem jullie toch niet onthouden ;-)
De text stempel komt uit een nieuwe LOTV stempelset
Het afdrukje is ingekleurd met Distress inkt refills en een penseeltje.
De ovaal en de doiley erachter zijn beiden Spellbinders stanzen.
De tekst banner is gewoon met de hand geknipt (met de vorm van de stempel mee).
Het gebruikte scrappapier is uit de nieuwste series van LOTV.

Today a new LOTV card and... since you probably already know my weakness for cute animal stamps...well....lol
Unfortunatey I tried to look the stamp up on the website but could not find it anymore...so I think it's retired....but...I could not resist publishing anyway ;-)
The text stamp is from a new LOTV stampset.
The image is coloured using Distress ink refills.
The oval and the doiley behind are both Spellbinders die templates.
The text banner is cut with scissors.
The used design paper is also from the latest release by LOTV.
