Hello everyone,
Welcome to the 6th International Ambassadors informal bloghop.
This time we are all creating a project using the Spellbinders Victorian Garden die-templates.
I chose S4-531 Romantic Vines.
This set is perfect for a swirly leave accent to a card, but can also be used as background decoration as I did on my cards.
Instructions white card:
- cut/emboss Matting Basics Small #6 (with #1 being the smallest die-template) from cream cardstock.
- cut/emboss Matting basics Large #6 from white cardstock.
- Glue both layers onto a white card (folded) size 4 ⅔" x 6 ⅔" using #D foam squares.
- Cut/emboss all Romantic Vines templates twice from gold foil.
- Sand the foil for a slightly worn effect.
- Glue the vine die-cuts onto the card and cut the parts that overlap the embossed lines using a craftknife or tiny scissors.
- Glue a satin banner onto the card.
- Stamp sentiment onto cardstock and cut to a banner. Glue onto card using 3D foam squares.
- Finish the card using some twine, flowers, leaves and self-adhesive Pearls.
I also made a purple/lilac version of the card....
Used materials:
- Spellbinders® : Romantic Vines (S4-531), 5x7 Matting Basics Large (S6-001), 5x7 Matting Basics Small (S6-002)

ReplyDeleteI apologize for the typing mistakes but I'm recovering from shoulder surgery so I'm typing one handed. I also wish I had added how much I admire my parents for being together for almost 65 years. My Mother took wonderful care of my Father during his illness and he hung on for my Mother an additional 6 1/2 years when the doctors said his time was up.They are a true love story, including love at first sight. My parent's birthdays were a w eek art n September so I've been no doubt my Mother's. Birthday would be brightened by your card. Thank you for thee opportunity to share your creativity.
DeleteHi Yvonne, both your cards are so very pretty. I love the way you've used the romantic vines as the background as they add such a lovely texture. Janelle x
ReplyDeleteBoth your cards are just stunning. I love that you used the Romantic Vines as the background of 5cards. So creative and yet each card is very different. I love the gold Romantic Vine card. I would send it to my widowed 83 year old mother for her 84th birthday in September. She has been widowed not quite 2 years and was married nearly 64 years.I know she would appreciate the elegance and beauty of the card. Thank you for your tutorial!
