Hello everyone!
The international Ambassadors are blog hopping again!
We had so much fun with our last hop featuring the Victorian dies we thought we would like to inspire you all again!
This is a fun and great way for you to get to know us and see our different styles.
If you came here from Linda Lucas her blog, you are in the right place.
We have chosen to use the dies from the Laced with Love collection / we thought these work beautifully to coincide with Valentine´s weekend.
It is so much fun to create with them, as you will see as you stop by each Designer´s blog.
For my card I used the S5-227 Floral Affair.
This is such a beautifully detailed set of templates that I'm sure it's going to be one of my all time favorites!
Now I normally do not share so much about my personal life on the internet, but today I'm making a little exeption for today it's Valentine's Day, the day we openly celebrate love.
In my opinion there can never be too much love.
A Valentine's love can be a secret love, a new love, a close friendship or....
For me it's celebrating being blessed to be sharing my life with the love of my life
His name is Harrie and we started out as best friends over 13 years ago.
I really could not imagine life (and don't want to!) without him in it.
I hope you can all say the same, but I do have the sweetest man of the whole world in my life! He shares my best and my worst moments with me, being both my love and my best friend... honey, I love you!
Now I am lucky to have two wonderful men in my life...
The other one is my dad...he is the sweetest, Always supporting, advising, reliable, most loving and best dad I could have ever wished for. Thanks dad...some day I hope to be like you...you're the best!
The card I made with both these wonderful men in thought....
For my card I used:
Spellbinders®:
- S5-227 Floral Affair: used die #3 (with #1 being the smallest die-template) (for silver frame)
- S4-110: Classic Ovals Lg: #4 (for brown sub-frame)
- S4-112 Classic Ovals Small: used die #5 (for pink frame)
- S6-002 Matting Basics B: used die #7 (for pink frame)
- Quietfire Design: Always be my friend (#5615)
- Imagine Crafts: Tsukineko: Stazon Jet Black Ink pad
- Anna Griffin: 12"x12"patterned paper AG1859
- Kaisercraft: self adhesive pearls

ReplyDeleteA very very beautiful card here Yvonne, and the sentiment is just sooo perfect for it. I can only agree to everything you said about the men in your life too. I have one of this kind myself too, and next year we can celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and we´ve known each other since I was 12 and he was 14, so it goes quite a while back and he´s still the love of my life, that´s for sure.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your husband is a very special person too...so happy to hear he still makes you so happy! Happy Valentine's Day!
DeleteWat een prachtige kaart Yvonne. De tekst komt helemaal tot z.n recht.
ReplyDeleteLief dat je je man en je pa zo in het zonnetje zet.
Mannen om dankbaar voor te zijn.

Good morning Yvonne, I am going to be honest and say I thought you had draped the die onto the pink card. Lol, as I haven't seen much steel coloured card before. that said the card is really lovely and in very good company as one of your colleagues is know for her love if flowers on cards. Thank you for sharing your work. X Ros
ReplyDeleteThanks! Metal colored cardstock is great for die-cutting and especially for frames....I also often use it for Christmas cards.

ReplyDeleteI must admit I had to look twice too. It did look like the die on the card! It is a beautiful die and the card you have used gives such a realistic metal look. Brilliant.

ReplyDeleteThank u for sharing about the important part of your life. I too, have been incredibly blessed. We will celebrate 45 years next month. He is the most patient man. we were married at 19 and 20. Our children love and respect him so much. He has been a rock through a death of a child , major sickness of another child , when an infant and always there for our birth and adopted children.
I am making a card today for a man with bladder cancer. We have never met. The metallic look is a great idea. Thank you. Loving how yo use spellbinders.
